The Embassy of Colombia and La Parcería, in collaboration with Casa de América present until 30 October, always at 7pm in the Sala Iberia of the diplomatic cultural centre, the film show Colombia Creates Peace.
This exhibition is made up of the following documentaries: Pirotecnia (Federico Atheortúa, 2019), 2 October; Cantos que inundan el río (German Arango, 2022), 17 October; La niebla de la paz (Joel Stangle, 2020), 16 October; Cuando las aguas se juntan (Margarita Martínez, 2023), 23 October; and Alis (Colombia-Chile-Romania, 2023/Clare Weiskopf), 30 October.
Colombia is today proposed as a powerhouse of life. The five documentaries selected for the Colombia Crea Paz exhibition bring us closer to the stories that give voice and prominence to those who, on a daily basis and from different spheres, try to build a peaceful country, after suffering for decades an armed conflict that has left more than seven million victims,
La Parcería is a project founded in 2010 by migrant artists in Madrid that now operates as the Centro Cultural Experimentación Documentación Artística La Parcería. Its mission is to provide a space for diverse forms of artistic and cultural expression, encouraging participation and the preservation of memory in an inclusive environment without geographical limitations. The films will be presented virtually by their director before the screening.
