The First Vice President and Acting Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño, has met in Marrakech with the Moroccan Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, with whom she addressed the strengthening of bilateral economic cooperation.
During the meeting, which took place in the presence of the Spanish Ambassador to Morocco, Ricardo Díez-Hochleitner, the two ministers discussed the prospects for strengthening cooperation between the two Kingdoms and reviewed the various areas of bilateral cooperation, as reported by the Government of Morocco in a press release.
Calviño and Fettah also followed up on the high-level meeting between Spain and Morocco, held last February in Rabat, and the two ministers celebrated the designation of Spain, Portugal and Morocco to organize the 2030 Football World Cup, according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
The meeting took place last Tuesday in Marrakech in the framework of the Annual Assemblies of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), the first to be held on the African continent for fifty years (the previous one took place in 1973 in Nairobi, Kenya). Next Saturday, at the end of the Annual Meetings, Calviño will meet with the Prime Minister of Morocco, Aziz Akhannouch.
