As part of the V Encuentro de Teatro Iberoamericano in Madrid, tomorrow, Saturday 7 October, at 7 p.m., the musical Mulheres Móveis, by the company Astro Fingido, from Oporto, will be presented as part of Circular 2023, at the Centro Cultural Antonio Machado (Calle San Román del Valle, 8, San Blas – Canillejas-Metro Alsacia; buses 4, 38, 48 and 16). The performance will be in Portuguese, with free admission until full capacity is reached.

The show is a fictional documentary about the “carreteiras”, women who used to carry furniture on their heads in the municipality of Paredes, in Oporto. These women did not make history, their work is rarely mentioned when talking about the economic development of the region, despite their pioneering intervention in the furniture industry. But they left much of their soul in the journeys they made with pain, sacrifice and also with moments of joy and solidarity. The trailer can be seen at this link.
