The Austrian Embassy recommends the concerts that the duo Cari Cari will perform at the Club Laut (C/ Vila i Vilà, 63) in Barcelona on Friday 29 September at 9 p.m., and at the Sala Clamores (Calle de Alburquerque, 14) in Madrid the following day, Saturday 31 September at 10.30 p.m.
This Austrian duo is formed by Stephanie Widmer (vocalist, percussionist and didyeridú) and Alexander Koeck (vocalist and guitarist). Since its inception, Cari Cari has worked tirelessly to create its own universe, carefully crafting everything from its music to its image, videos and stage design.
Their die-hard fans have packed concert halls all over Europe and their first album won accolades from major influencers such as the NME magazine, KCRW radio station, Rolling Stone magazine and the BBC. However, in the band’s eyes, all roads have led them to Kookoo Island. The album Welcome to Kookoo, which was released in September 2022, is the result of years of conceptualisation, born out of a desire to completely escape from modern life.
