The Instituto Italiano de Cultura presents tomorrow Thursday at 8 p.m. the guitarist and composer, first guitar of the Ensemble of Contemporary Music of the Auditorium, Luca Nostro, in the concert for electric guitar entitled Electric Guitar in My Life, to discover the infinite sonorities of this instrument.
With this extraordinary concert, Luca Nostro proposes a repertoire of contemporary music for electric guitar, alternating with original revisitations of compositions from the Baroque period and the Italian lyric opera tradition. he world premiere of the concert took place in 2014 at the “In My Life” Review at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, and has been performed at contemporary music festivals all over the world. Because of its rich timbre, the electric guitar has been used for decades by the most important composers of contemporary music. In this short Spanish tour, Luca Nostro will play some classics of minimalism (Reich) and the Milanese school (Tadini) and his own arrangements of masterpieces by Scarlatti (Sonata in F minor) and Mascagni (Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana).
The world premiere will be the Fantasia De Falla that Luca Nostro has written in homage to the great composer, just for these concerts with the Instituto Italiano de Cultura of Madrid.
