In the framework of the 203rd anniversary of the beginning of the Mexican emancipation, Fundación Casa de México in Spain celebrates next Friday the 15th from 6pm the Fiesta del Grito de la Independencia with two shows that cannot be missed in this exceptional commemoration: a presentation of Mexican folkloric dances and a mariachi music recital.
The programme begins with regional dances by Leyendas de México. This group will travel the country’s geography to show the richness of Mexico’s regional dances, which are the result of the multiculturalism and ethnic diversity present in the Mexican geography.
Legends of Mexico, directed by the folk dancer and restorer Ana Paola de la Cruz Arias, will travel the entire Mexican national geography to showcase artistic manifestations in which folk and regional music, the art and colour of the costumes and the crossbreeding to which the ethnic and cultural richness of the country has given rise.
