The PP senator and mayor of Algeciras, José Ignacio Landaluce, yesterday harshly criticized the congratulations sent by the former president of the Catalan Generalitat Carles Puigdemont to the chief minister of Gibraltar, Fabian Picardo, for the National Day of Gibraltar, which, in his view, represents a “clear example of how two politicians come together to damage Spain.”
“The union of, Puigdemont and Picardo is the clear example of how two politicians come together to harm Spain,” said Landaluce through the social network X, the former Twitter. “Both need to get on the front page and that is why this union occurs,” he continued. “On the one hand, Picardo, who has elections in sight and, on the other hand, Puigdemont, who is in negotiations with Sánchez,” he declared. “I just hope that this political cover is not at the expense of Spanish workers, as has been the case of the fishermen of the Bay of Algeciras,” he added.
Landaluce also recalled that the two leaders congratulated Pedro Sánchez after the 23J general elections: “The congratulations of the fugitive from Spanish justice and the prime minister of the colony to the socialist candidate were a sign of how Sanchism is beneficial to them, which indicates that it is detrimental to the socioeconomic stability of our country.”
