Tomorrow Tuesday at 6.30 p.m., the Centro Cultural de China in Madrid (aalle General Pardiñas, 73) presents in its auditorium the lecture The Secrets of the Terracotta Warriors, by Zhu Xue Wen, librarian and researcher at the Research and Planning Department of the Museum of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shi Huang. Attendance is free of charge and seating is limited.
The lecture will cover the topics related to the First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty and his mausoleum, the discovery of the burial pits of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses and their cultural connotations, as well as the production of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, the art of their sculpture and painting.
Zhu Xue Wen is also a member of the Academic Committee of the Academy of the Qin Shi Huang Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, a member of the Historical Relics Appraisal Committee of Shaanxi Province and a member of the Expert Group on the Protection and Utilisation of Revolutionary Historical Relics of Shaanxi Province. He presided over the G18 archaeological excavation of the second grave of the Qin Dynasty Terracotta Warriors and Horses, which unearthed the kneeling and painted terracotta figures depicted with green face; he also organised and held more than ten exhibitions of historical relics.
