One more week, the month of August presents its billboard in the main summer cinemas installed in several places of the capital. Classic films and premieres share the billboard in this fourth week.
Cibeles de cine, located in the Galería de Cristal of CentroCentro, opens its doors at 8 pm and the screenings start at 10 pm. This fourth week of August will see new films such as The Fabelman, Babylon and 20,000 Species of Bees, alongside true masterpieces of the seventh art such as Bicycle Thief (Ladri di biciclette), Taxi Driver, Inside the Labyrinth (Labyrinth) and North by Northwest.
Meanwhile, in the Plaza de España is the summer cinema screen La Estival, surrounded by gastronomy and history, which this week in August is showing the premieres of Oppenheimer, Barbie and the Spanish film La soledad tiene alas, along with classics such as Superman, Bonnye and Clyde and Whiplash (the latter with a jam season with the Chuchi Crespo Trío), with a concert performance of some of its soundtracks.
Finally, Fescinal, the summer cinema in the Parque de la Bombilla (Av. de Valladolid, SN) offers this week the feature films Gran Turismo, As bestas, De perdidos al río, Oppenheimer and Megalodon 2. The cinema has two screens and the sessions will start at 22.15 and also at 00.55 on weekends.
Until 31 August, Fescinal is launching a cycle of classic films, under the title Los clásicos de Rita (in reference to the founder of the festival, Rita Sonlleva), with three titles with two screenings each, Singing in the rain (26 and 28 August), La escopeta nacional (22 and 26 August) and Excalibur (24 and 31 August).
