Global Mobility Call, the international congress-expo on sustainable mobility to be held in Madrid from 24 to 26 October, has confirmed the participation of Italy as a partner country of the event, thanks to an agreement signed between IFEMA MADRID, Smobhub and the Italian Agency for Foreign Trade (ICE).
According to the event organisers, the aim of the agreement is to promote the participation of Italian SMEs and start-ups in Global Mobility Call, creating a meeting point and offering an opportunity to showcase “Made in Italy” technologies and innovation in the different sectors of sustainable mobility.
The ICE Agency will have an exhibition space of 80 m2, which will host eight innovative Italian SMEs. Italian companies can apply to benefit from this opportunity until 21 August. Companies will not have to pay for the exhibition space or entrance tickets, but will only have to cover their travel, accommodation, insurance and transport costs.
GMC Space Expo will have more than 100 exhibiting companies and startups, of which 30 are main partners of the event, such as ADIF, ARRIVA, BP, CEPSA, CRTM, EDP, EMT Madrid, ETRA, IBERDROLA, IBERIA, INDRA, METRO, MOBILITY ADO, PWC, RENFE, SISTEM, TOTAL ENERGIES, UBER, ULITY, among others.
It will be a space that will allow attendees to learn about the main developments in innovation and business models, expand their network of contacts and establish collaborations for new mobility projects and solutions.
With more than 130 sessions, the GMC Space Congress programme will allow participants to learn about the latest developments, trends and cutting-edge initiatives in sustainable mobility. To this end, it will feature a large line-up of international mobility experts, such as the visionary aeronaut and president of the Solar Impulse Foundation, Bertrand Piccard; Peggy Liu, from JUCCCE (Joint US China Collaboration on Clean Energy); and Jeremy Rifkin, president of the Foundation on Economic Trends (FOET), among others.
Global Mobility Call will also host three major events on the official mobility agenda of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, organised by the Spanish Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, with the participation of European commissioners. These include the “Technical Conference on Mobility in Rural Areas”, the meeting “The PEP Partnership on Active Mobility”, as well as an important conference on the European Corridors in Spain 360: Atlantic Corridor and Mediterranean Corridor, for which an investment of more than 53,806 million euros is planned.
More than 10,000 on-site professionals are expected to participate and can opt for two types of tickets: Expo Pass Experience and Congress Pass Experience, both valid for the three days of the event, with numerous benefits and discounts of up to 50% for registrations made until 25 September. Registration is now available via the Global Mobility Call website.
