The summer cinemas that have been set up in the city of Madrid are the stars of entertainment in the Spanish capital. This coming second week of the summer month is packed with classics and film premieres.
Cibeles de cine, located in the Galería de Cristal of CentroCentro, offers classic films and premieres in what is now a regular feature of Madrid’s summer cinema offerings. Doors open at 8pm and screenings start at 10pm. This second week of August will see new films such as Barbie, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, along with a variety of classics such as Young Frankenstein and The Exorcist.
Fescinal, the summer cinema in the Parque de la Bombilla (Av. de Valladolid, SN) this week offers the feature films Los renglones torcidos de dios, Las ocho montañas, Flash, Vacaciones de verano, Mansión encantada and Momias. The cinema has two screens and the screenings will start at 22.15 and also at 00.55 on weekends.
The Plaza de España is home to the La Estival summer cinema screen, a large summer cinema surrounded by gastronomy and history, which this second week of August is showing the premieres of Barbie and Gran turismo, together with classics such as Origen, Gladiator and the biopic Elvis, with a concert performance of some of the most famous soundtracks in the history of cinema.
