The Diplomat
The Ambassador of the League of Arab Countries, Malek Twal, and the President of the Spanish-Arab Intercultural Circle (CIHAR), Abdo Tounsi, were received last Monday by the Director of the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid, M. Paz Martín Esteban.
The visit was programmed with the intention of communicating to the Royal Botanic Garden the desire of different Arab and Islamic embassies in Spain to make the project Itinerary of plants from Arab and Islamic countries a reality within the RJB, which will be supplied by contributions from these countries. Ambassador Malek Twal and Director M. Paz Martín agreed to send to the Embassy of the League of Arab Countries a document with all the possible indications about the plants to be donated by the countries. At the end of the meeting, they agreed to continue working to complete a project that was considered very interesting by both parties.
