The Diplomat
The new Ambassador of Mozambique to Spain, Eugénio Agostinho Langa, has taken up his post in Spain, replacing Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas, who has become High Commissioner of the Republic of Mozambique to South Africa based in Pretoria.
Langa went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 6th, where he handed over the Copies of his Letters of Credence to the ambassadors’ introducer, María Sebastián de Erice.
After this ceremony, and awaiting the presentation of the Letters of Credence to His Majesty the King, the new ambassador has begun his activity in our country, where he arrives after having been the Consul of Mozambique in the South African city of Nelspruit for the last five years.
Eugénio Agostinho Langa, who holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations and a Masters in Diplomacy from the Centre for Strategic Studies, has held various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and between 2012 and 2018 was Deputy National Director of Administration and Finance, with responsibility for the Diplomatic and Consular Missions of Mozambique.
