The Embassy of Argentina announces the open call of the Government of the South American country inviting foreign institutions and/or individuals residing abroad working in the promotion and defence of Human Rights in their respective countries to submit their candidatures for the 2023 Edition of the Emilio F. Mignone International Human Rights Award.

The Award is inspired by the figure and work of Emilio F. Mignone, who was one of the country’s leading human rights defenders and a founding member of the Centro de Estudio Legales y Sociales -CELS-.

The Award seeks to contribute to the institutions or individuals awarded to give visibility to the problems with which they work, to strengthen ties with civil society organisations in Argentina and to value their commitment to the promotion and defence of human rights in their countries of origin.

Applications will be accepted from 10 July until 15 September 2023. All information can be found at this link.
