Cédric Klapisch’s ‘Un paso adelante’ at the Instituto Francés cinema

As part of the summer cinema programme being organised by the Instituto Francés, tomorrow Thursday at 10 p.m., the film Un paso adelante (A Step Forward), directed by Cédric Klapisch, a moving and hopeful portrait of a classical dancer, will be shown in the central courtyard of the Institute. Screening in French with Spanish subtitles.

 

Elise (Marion Barbeau) is a 26-year-old classical dancer. One day her dream is shattered. During a show she is injured and she is told that she will never dance again, her life will change completely. Her life will change completely. Will she have to give up her dream? In search of an answer, she will experience disappointments and joys between Paris and the United Kingdom. She will discover a contemporary dance company and realise that there are things beyond classical dance. Tickets can be booked here.
