As part of the summer cinema programme, the Instituto Francés invites you to the screening of Maigret, by Patrice Leconte, starring the legendary Gérard Depardieu, today Thursday at 22:00. French version with Spanish subtitles. Reservations can be made at this link.
Paris, 1950s, the body of a beautiful young woman dressed in an elegant evening gown appears in the middle of a square. The famous Inspector Jules Maigret investigates the case, but finds it impossible to identify the victim, because absolutely no one seems to have known or remembered her. In the course of his investigations, Maigret’s path crosses that of Betty, a young criminal who bears a striking resemblance to the victim. All this awakens in Maigret the memory of another much older and more intimate disappearance.
Also, next Friday at the same time, the Institute will screen the film Novembre, by Cédric Jimenez, a breathless account of the days following the attacks in Paris in 2015.
On the night of 13 November 2015, the lives of Parisians were changed forever by terrorist attacks. The secret anti-terrorist unit (SDAT) led by Fred (Jean Dujardin) will try to find the culprits in a race against time. To do so, he will have the help of the CIA and the intuition of his young colleague Inés (Anaïs Demoustier). They will discover two terrorists in a very short time, including the mastermind of the attacks. French version with Spanish subtitles. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
