The Veranos de la Villa 2023 will kick off on 5 July and run until 27 August, with 76 artistic performances including circus, theatre, dance, music, flamenco and exhibitions and a total of more than 200 programmed activities.
For 53 days, 29 venues in the city will host a wide-ranging, diverse and participatory programme with activities for all audiences. More than 50% of the activities will be free and will take place in 12 districts of the city. The festival will also include the participation of international artists and creators from a further ten countries.
This year China will be the guest country, on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Spain. Around this anniversary, the festival has programmed several activities in which the cultures of both countries share the limelight with the collaboration of the Centro cultural de China in Madrid. The entire programme of this festival can be consulted on its website.
