The Instituto Cultural Rumano presents two cultural activities, the exhibition and documentary entitled Wild Romania, which show the wild side of this European country.
On the one hand, with the collaboration of the Wild Romania Association, under the auspices of the Romanian Embassy, the photographic exhibition Wild Romania will be inaugurated on Tuesday 20 June at 7 p.m. in the Institute’s Gallery (Plaza del Cordón, 1). The event will be attended by photographer Dan Dinu. Behind the project Wild Romania, Dan Dinu gathered an impressive archive of images illustrating natural landscapes, flora and fauna. Some of these images illustrate the photo album and a small selection from which an exhibition was made. Designed for both outdoors and indoors, the exhibition consists of 20 large-format images (dimensions 100×70 cm) and is intended to cover most of Romania’s biodiversity.
Also, on Wednesday 21 June at 30:00, the documentary film Wild Romania, by Dan Dinu and Cosmin Dumitrache, premiered in 2021, will be screened in the Plató room of the Cineteca Madrid (Plaza de Legazpi, 8).
Since 2018, Dan Dinu and Cosmin Dumitrache have worked exclusively on this film, which presents the country’s nature as never before. The documentary crowns the entire project and concludes the work done by the whole team and all the collaborators involved for more than 10 years. The film had its international premiere on 30 July 2021 at the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF), where it was awarded the Audience Award.
