The Fiesta de la Música is back for another year at the Instituto Francés de Madrid Delaurentis, Rocío Saiz and DJ Omar Tenany, up-and-coming French and Spanish artists, will light up the Patio of the Institut de celebration on the evening of Wednesday 21 June from 7 p.m. onwards.
This cultural event, created in 1982 to celebrate the summer solstice and International Music Day, brings together all generations and all musical styles. Free admission until full capacity is reached.
Delaurentis is a producer, composer and performer of French music, who orchestrates an electro-cinema made of chiaroscuro and lyrical flights. Her voice is the protagonist of her sound films. Her musical inspirations are at once electronic, contemporary and cinematographic.
Omar TenanY is an award-winning music supervisor, sound designer and composer based in Madrid with more than 20 international awards and nominations. In 2003, he joined the CANAL+ TV Company, where he started his career as a Junior Music Scenarist, and over the next few years he was promoted to head of the brand’s music department.
Activism, politics, feminism, vindication and a lot of music are the calling card of Rocío Saiz, singer of Monterrosa and Las Chillers, DJ and communicator. Her discourse in favour of diversity and her criticism of the heteropatriarchy have made her one of the LGTBIQ+ references with the most character and strength in Spain. For her, the dancefloor is political, fun is never as innocent as it is painted and love dramas are rarely a non-transferable experience.
