Tomorrow Thursday at 19.30 and as part of the Madrid International Guitar Festival 2023, the Instituto Francés of Madrid presents a concert by Judicaël Perroy, a French classical guitar virtuoso.
Judicaël Perroy has achieved wide recognition and has won several prizes in important international competitions. In 1997, he won the prestigious first prize at the 15th Guitar Foundation of America International Competition and Convention, which awarded him a tour of the United States and Canada, with more than sixty concerts and master classes. In the midst of his North American tour that year, he gave several concerts in France, where his performances were broadcast live on France-Musique, and continued to tour extensively throughout the world.
In demand as a teacher, Judicaël is invited to give master classes at many of the best conservatories and universities in the United States and abroad. In 2017, Judicaël was appointed professor at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He continues to hold a teaching position at the apPSEA (Association de préfiguration du Pôle supérieur d’enseignements artistiques) in Lille Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France.
The concert programme includes pieces such as the Hungarian Fantasy by J. Kaspar Mertz, Suite BWV 997 and 995 (t. Tilman Hoppstock) by Johann S. Bach, Maja De Goya by Enrique Granados and Sevilla by Isaac Albéniz. Tickets for the concert are available at this link.
