The new Angolan Ambassador to Spain, Alfredo Dombe, has taken up his post in Madrid, after presenting the Copies of his Letters of Credence to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dombe, who replaces José Luis Matos Agostinho, was until his appointment to head the Embassy, Secretary General of the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has a long diplomatic career behind him, as The Diplomat already reported. Aged 64, he holds a degree in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and a degree in Military Sciences from the Vladimir I. The new ambassador already knows Spain, because he was posted in our country from 2012 to 2014, as Minister Counsellor of the diplomatic representation, after having been Chargé d’Affaires of Angola in South Korea, as well as Commercial Counsellor.
After his first stay in Spain, Alfredo Dombe was Director General of the Higher Institute of International Relations ‘Venancio de Moura’, before being appointed, in 2020, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with functions similar to those of Undersecretary in the Spanish Ministry.
