KPOP LUX, the world’s biggest K-Pop festival, will take place on 22 July at the Cívitas Metropolitano in Madrid, featuring some of the world’s best bands of this South Korean-born musical genre.
The internationally famous Enhypen, Ateez, Ive, Shinee, Stayc, Cravity and Xikers (to which more bands can be added) are already confirmed for the July music event. More than three hours of music and live entertainment with these international superstars who have revolutionised the music market in recent years.

The music genre has more than 200 million followers worldwide and the hastagh #KpopTwitter has more than 8 billion tweets. The European fan base is growing at a frenetic pace with festivals, concerts and tours making the music more appealing and accessible than ever.
K-Pop is short for Korean popular music, a genre of music that encompasses musical styles such as pop, rap, hip-hop, rock and electronic music. Current K-Pop started between 1990 and 1992 with the group Leo Taji and Boys. They are in their fourth generation of groups since the first release and the fifth is planned for 2024/2025. It is one of the fastest growing music genres, with popularity doubling every year.
K-pop groups have their own fashion style, unique dance moves and are often formed by management agencies. Members undergo years of rigorous training. These international superstars, known as idols, are setting trends around the world, gracing the covers of fashion magazines, taking to the catwalks, driving political movements and collaborating with the giants of other music genres.
