‘MicroDances’ Project, a dance exhibition between real and virtual
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Until 14 July, the Spazio Dante of the Instituto Italiano de Cultura in Madrid is hosting the project MicroDances. An exhibition that dances between real and virtual. The opening hours are Tuesdays and Fridays from 12 to 2 pm and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 pm.

Conceived by the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto, MicroDanza is a project that goes beyond the “classical” idea of the stage and eliminates the distance between the audience and the performer, designed not for the theatre, but for museum, exhibition or emblematic spaces. A unique experience that offers spectators the opportunity to discover and rediscover places through dance.

An immersive experience that, through visors, puts the spectator at the centre of the scene: this is Virtual Dance for Real People, a project that explores the relationship between dance and virtual reality and wants to answer this question: Is it possible for a dance performance to involve the spectator while the dancer is not physically present?
