Casa Asia analyses China’s environment and economic success

This afternoon at 6pm, Casa Asia presents the webinar The environment and the limits of China’s economic success, in which Dr. Trápaga Delfín, from the Centre for China-Mexico Studies, National Autonomous University of Mexico, will take stock of China’s ecological situation, the result of its good economic performance, focusing both on its territory and its polluting position in the global atmosphere.

 

After some words of welcome by Rafael Bueno, Director of Politics, Society and Educational Programmes of Casa Asia, Dr. Blai Guarné and Dr. David Saurí, Master’s Degree in Global East Asian Studies (UAB) will present the session. The debate will be moderated by Dr. Jacinto Soler-Matutes, Master’s Degree in Global East Asian Studies (UAB).

 

Professor Yolanda Trápaga Delfín holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Paris VIII, is a research professor at the postgraduate course in Economics at the Faculty of Economics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and head of the Centre for China-Mexico Studies at the same university. Author of numerous publications in her field of study, she is responsible for the Natural Resources and Sustainable Development Axis of the Latin America and the Caribbean – China Network.
