The Bosnian Embassy, Medicus Mundi and the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid are organising a screening of the documentary film Maldita, A love song to Sarajevo next Wednesday at 7 p.m., followed by a discussion with Ivan Zahinos, one of the authors, at the Círculo’s headquarters (Calle de Alcalá, 42).

The film, which has won 17 awards -one of them the Goya 2023 Award for Best Documentary Short Film-, is directed by Amaia Remírez and Raúl de la Fuente.

Their God is Love. Its homeland is the Earth, its genre is human. In Maldita, a love song to Sarajevo, Bozo Vreco, the most revolutionary of Balkan artists, sings to life, to overcoming and to the love story between two cities, Sarajevo and Barcelona, which knew how to meet in difficult times to never say goodbye to each other.
