The Congress has called off the commission sessions scheduled for this week following the announcement of the dissolution of the Parliament and the call for early legislative elections for next July 23, as reported yesterday by the Lower House in a press release.
One of the sessions cancelled has been that of the Foreign Affairs Committee, which was to meet today and which had planned to rule on four international agreements: the one of the Council of Europe on the manipulation of sports competitions, an agreement on immunities and prerogatives between the Kingdom of Spain and the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, the agreement by which the Observatory of the Square Kilometre Array is created and another one on safety and health in construction.
In this same commission, nine propositions of law were also going to be debated, related, among other matters, to the “problems of the Spanish companies with commercial relations in Algeria” (presented by PP), the “support to the total peace process in Colombia” (PSOE, Unidas Podemos, Grupo Vasco and Grupo Parlamentario Plural), the “promotion of the Ibero-American Summit” (PSOE) or the “transfer and deportation of Ukrainian children to the Russian Federation and the arrest warrant of Vladimir Putin” (PSOE).
