The new edition of the series Grandes Intérpretes of the Fundación Scherzo hosts a recital by the South Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho, which will take place on May 30th in the Symphonic Hall of the Auditorio Nacional de Música, with a selection of works by great composers such as Johannes Brahms, Maurice Ravel and Robert Schumann.
Seong-Jin Cho is a pianist born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1994 who at the age of 21 won the Frederick Chopin International Competition for young pianists in Warsaw (Poland) in 2008, the most important piano competition in the world, repeating the award again in the 2015 edition.
Among his achievements, he was proclaimed winner of the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (Japan) in 2009 and finished third in the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow (Russia) in 2011 and in the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv (Israel) in 2014.
