The Town Hall of Xàbia (Jávea) has rejoined the Governing Council of the Casa Mediterráneo Consortium, as published on Friday in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
Xàbia Town Hall was a founding member of Casa del Mediterráneo in 2009, but in March 2013 decided to separate from the consortium. Now, according to the BOE, in view of the new stage that has begun with the internationalisation of the entity’s activities, which favour Alicante and its province, it has expressed its desire to rejoin the entity.
At the same time as rejoining Casa Mediterráneo, the Jávea Town Hall has committed itself to a disbursement of 25,000 euros for the financial year 2023.
The Consortium is currently made up of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, as well as the Generalitat Valenciana, the Alicante and Benidorm Town Halls and the Alicante Provincial Council.
