Cátedra China and the Real Casino de Madrid are organising a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and Spain, next Monday 24 April at 7 p.m. in the Salón Príncipe of the Real Casino de Madrid (Calle Alcalá, 15).
The event, entitled 50 years of diplomatic relations between Spain and the People’s Republic of China: balance and perspectives, will be attended by Ambassadors Eugenio Bregolat, Juan Leña Casas and Manuel Valencia, the three Spanish ambassadors to China at different periods of bilateral relations, and Ambassador Wu Haitao (in the photo), current ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Spain, who will analyse the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The debate will be chaired by Alfredo Alvar Ezquerra, President of the Real Casino de Madrid, and moderated by Georgina Higueras, journalist and Vice-President of Cátedra China.
