The Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) has signed several cooperation agreements with the Republic of El Salvador to reduce the educational and digital divide and promote sustainable development in the Central American country.
As reported yesterday by the OEI in a press release, the agreements and memorandums were announced during an act of the OEI Secretary General, Mariano Jabonero, and the Vice President of the Republic, Felix Ulloa (among other personalities), held last April 12, 2023 in the Auditorium of the OEI national office in El Salvador.
Specifically, the agreements signed were a project to reduce the educational digital gap of the population living in poverty and exclusion in rural municipalities of the Trifinio region, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Escuela Superior de Innovación en la Administración Pública (ESIAP) and the OEI to develop the skills and knowledge of public administration students, and a framework collaboration agreement between the National Council for Sustainable Development and the OEI to improve and strengthen the capacities and knowledge management of government officials in the area of sustainable development.
