Next Friday 14 April at 9 p.m., the Instituto Francés of Madrid presents a concert by one of the most flamboyant figures in contemporary music, the American singer and pianist Sarah McCoy.
Having established herself in just a few years, Sarah McCoy is back with her new work, entitled High Priestess. The American artist debuted in 2019 after being discovered in Paris by famed pianist Chilly Gonzales.
Recorded with veteran producer Renaud Letang (Feist, Keren Ann, Charlotte Gainsbourg…) and under the benevolent wing of Chilly Gonzales (known for the intimate touch of his Solo Piano albums and his collaborations with Jarvis Cocker, Feist, Drake or Daft Punk), this new work marks a turning point for the accomplished singer-songwriter, whose powerful voice reveals painful cracks.
