The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) and the Carolina Foundation have awarded the IV Awards “University, Knowledge and Agenda 2030” to the best Final Degree Project (TFG) and Master’s Degree Project (TFM), corresponding to the academic year 2021-2022.

In the category of TFG was awarded the work: “The Sustainable Profitability of Green Bonds”, carried out by Ana María Aido Vázquez, tutored by Professor Sonia Margarita Rodríguez and defended at the University of Vigo.

In the category of TFM: the best work has been considered: “Mujeres STEM: Motivaciones de las niñas chilenas de Educación Secundaria para escoger áreas de profundización relacionadas con las disciplinas STEM”, by Katherine Quispe, tutored by Professor Alejandra Montané and defended at the University of Barcelona.

Taking into account the evaluation criteria of the call, the Evaluation Committee and the heads of the organising institutions chose the two works, among the more than 3,000 applications submitted, for their originality and innovation, their technical foundation and academic quality, and their contribution to the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, according to a note distributed by the Carolina Foundation.

The winning students will receive a diploma signed by the management staff of the AECID, the Carolina Foundation and Crue Universidades Españolas. Their work will also be published under the auspices of the three institutions.

The three organising entities plan to launch the V edition of the “University, Knowledge and Agenda 2030” Awards in the last quarter of this year.
