This evening at 8 p.m., the Instituto Francés in Madrid is previewing the comedy El inocente (L’innocent), directed by Louis Garrel and starring Louis Garrel himself, Roschdy Zem, Anouk Grinberg and Noémie Merlant, among others. The film will be released in Spanish cinemas on 5 April.
Abel (Louis Garrel) is a young widower who leads a quiet life working as a guide at an aquarium in Lyon. When he discovers that his mother, Sylvie (Anouk Grinberg) is about to marry a former mugger who has just been released from prison, Abel panics. Determined to protect his mother and with the help of his friend Clémence (Noémie Merlant), he begins to keep a close eye on Michel… but an encounter with his new stepfather could change his life and the lives of the people around him forever.
