The opening of the exhibition HÚNGARO | ARTISTA | MUNDO by Hungarian artists from the Hungarian diaspora took place on 8 March at the OCCO Art Gallery in Madrid (Calle de Espalter, 13, 1º derecha).
At the event, Under-Secretary of State for National Policy Dr. Péter Szilágyi, Ambassador Katalin Tóth, gallery directors Carmen Bescós and José Antonio Camacho and artist Zoltán Fodor-Lengyel addressed the guests and opened the exhibition. The exhibition, which consists of 37 unique works of paintings, photographs, prints and sculptures, will be open until 5 April.
In 2021, the Hungarian House celebrated its tenth anniversary. The jubilee was commemorated with a cultural festival, an exhibition on the history of the institution, an illustrated book and an exhibition of selected works by artists of the Hungarian diaspora. Within the scope of the latter programme, the public will soon be able to admire works by almost 40 artists living in Africa, America, Australia, Asia and Europe. The first stop on the world tour was Innsbruck (Austria), followed by Bačka Topola (Serbia), then Odorheiu Secuiesc and Satu Mare (Romania), and then Budapest (Hungary). And during this month of March in Madrid art lovers can enjoy this exclusive and unique collection.
