On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Casa de América and the Instituto Franklin-UAH, with the collaboration of the Fundación Consejo España-EE.UU., are organising this afternoon at 6pm in the Miguel de Cervantes Hall of the former, a round table discussion entitled Spanish-speaking women and business in the USA, which will analyse the role of female leadership in the business world, as well as the experiences and experiences of Spanish-speaking women in the world of business in the United States.
Although the percentage of Spanish-speaking women entrepreneurs in the United States has increased exponentially in recent years, the lack of women leaders is still notable despite the many advantages described by companies that have them in positions of high responsibility. Free admission until full capacity is reached.
Speakers at the event will include Luis Prados, Director of Programming at Casa de América; Esperanza Cerdá (in the photo), Academic Secretary of the Franklin-UAH Institute; Fernando Prieto, Secretary General of the Spain-USA Council Foundation; Laura González-Estéfani, CEO and founder of Venture City (participating online via Zoom); Marina Fuentes Arredonda, CEO of the United Way Foundation, and María Solanas, co-founder of UN Women Spain and Director of Programmes at the Real Instituto Elcano. The event will be moderated by Diana Mata, journalist and expert in North American Studies.
