The Spain-U.S. Council Foundation has moved its headquarters, “for all intents and purposes,” to the Santa Cruz Palace, historic headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“We are pleased to inform you, for all intents and purposes, that the Spain-US Council Foundation has moved to a new address. From now on, you can find us at the historic Santa Cruz Palace, headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation,” reported the Council Foundation in a brief press release.

The Spain-U.S. Council Foundation is a private non-profit organization whose Board of Trustees is made up of major companies, cultural and academic institutions and members of the Spanish public administration. The CEO of Repsol, Josu Jon Imaz, has chaired the Council Foundation since last December, replacing Juan Lladó, CEO of Técnicas Reunidas.

The Foundation also has the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as its main strategic partner for the achievement of its foundational goals, and the support of the Spanish Embassy in the United States and the U.S. Embassy in Spain and Andorra in the organization of many of its programs and activities.

A reference entity in the field of public diplomacy between the two countries, the Spain-U.S. Council Foundation was established in 1997 with the purpose of strengthening the ties between the two countries and developing joint initiatives that favor bilateral relations in all areas of activity, from the economic and business to the scientific, educational and cultural spheres. This mission has been shared since its inception with its U.S. counterpart, the United States-Spain Council.
