This evening at 6pm, a poetry recital and dialogue with Chiqui Vicioso, the author of the collection of poems Eva/Sión/Es, will take place in the Miguel de Cervantes Hall of Casa América. Free admission until full capacity is reached.
Participating in the reading will be Juan Bolívar Díaz, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic; Samuel Esteban Peña, in charge of Cultural Affairs of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic, and Chiqui Vicioso, poet, essayist and playwright.
Eva/Sión/Es is a dense collection of poems, novel in that it is presented simultaneously in three languages, those that make up the essence of the Caribbean: Spanish, English and French. The poet Chiqui Vicioso has woven a formally Caribbean map, because in her case “Caribbean designates, more than a geographical reality, the metaphor of what is lost at every moment”.
