The Diplomat
Last Thursday, the US Ambassador to Spain, Julissa Reynoso, took part in a luncheon-colloquium organised by the Fundación Euroamérica, in which she discussed the triangular relationship between the United States, the European Union and Latin America.
The lunch was attended, among other authorities, by the State Secretaries for Foreign Affairs, Ángeles Moreno Bau, and for Ibero-America, Juan Fernández Trigo, and the Ibero-American Secretary General, Andrés Alamand. The President of the Fundación Euroamérica, Ramón Jáuregui, was also present, along with a large group of representatives of companies with interests in the USA and Latin America and the Caribbean.
The central theme of the speech, which was followed by a lively debate, was the triangulation of US-Latin American-EU relations, although US-Spanish bilateral relations and other current issues such as the war in Ukraine and President Biden’s commitment to climate change, the Inflation Reduction Act, migration and support plans in Central America, among others, were also discussed.
