The Embassy of Kuwait in Spain hosted a reception yesterday to celebrate its National Day, which commemorates the 62nd anniversary of the country’s independence and the 32nd anniversary of its liberation from Saddam Hussein’s regime.
The reception was brought forward four days from the date of the event for scheduling reasons, as 25 February falls on a Saturday this year.
The event was attended by numerous representatives of the Ministries of Defence and Foreign Affairs, the Royal Household and the State Security Forces and Corps, as well as a large representation of ambassadors accredited in Spain, businessmen and representatives of civil society, which confirms the traditionally good relations between the two countries at all levels.
During the reception, the attendees were able to enjoy a falconry exhibition, where, in addition to having their photographs taken with the birds, they were able to learn first-hand about the world of falconry, an age-old tradition in many Arab countries.
