Dance comes to the Instituto Francés in Madrid tomorrow Tuesday at 8 p.m. with the Elephant in the Black Box Company for a presentation of the works Holón, by Woody Santana, and Glunje, by Luce Bron, under the artistic direction of Jean Philippe Dury, a French dancer and choreographer who lives in Madrid.
These two works are two works of research on the body, in all its complexity. Holon is the translation of the word universum in Greek, in the sense of “the whole”. It is a reflection on totality, an invitation to think of the body as part of something and at the same time as made up of parts. Glunje, for its part, is an encounter in a new world, a mixture between the visible and the sonorous, between sweetness and power. The choreographers and dancers, under the direction of Jean Philippe Dury, transport us to a fascinating parallel universe, where poetry and the intensity of the bodies create a magical atmosphere.
