UME rescues mother and two children five days after Turkey quake

The Military Emergency Unit (UME) yesterday rescued two children and their mother alive five days after the earthquake in Turkey.

 

“At this moment, the men and women of the UME who are in Turkey in this terrible drama they are living have just rescued alive a boy and a girl, and are about to rescue the mother,” announced yesterday the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, during her participation in an event in Jaen, where she attended the signing for the implementation of the Technological Center for Development and Experimentation of the Ministry of Defense (CETEDEX).

 

The rescue took place in the Turkish town of Nurdagui. The rescue took place in the Turkish town of Nurdagui. “Our UME military personnel have saved the lives of Leyla, Elif and Muslin,” the Defense Ministry reported on its Twitter account.

 

The troops of the Military Emergency Unit left for Turkey on Monday to assist in the emergency and survivor rescue work and on Tuesday they were assigned to the area of Gaziantep, a district of 60,000 inhabitants.
