Until 22 January, the Teatros del Canal will be presenting the play Amaeru, written and directed by Carolina Román and performed by Daniel Freire and Omar Calicchio, in its Sala Negra.
Intertwined stories, characters with intense emotional ties and a decision that will mark their lives: to take care of others or to let themselves be taken care of. Amaeru is a round-trip cycle, an emotional journey in which the importance of giving and receiving care goes beyond time and space, an authentic duel of actors who dance on a dramaturgy that transports the spectator to other worlds, their own, distant worlds full of memories.
Amaeru is the proof that it is possible to relive the past and heal emotional debts from an unusual place through hilarious and surreal situations, where we begin to laugh at ourselves and our ghosts. Amaeru is the term that expresses in Japanese culture the desire to care or to be cared for. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
