Until 11 December, the Teatro Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa de Madrid presents the XXVIII edition of The Great Gospel, after exceeding 8,000 attendees in its previous edition (with an average of 90% occupancy in each show).
A must-attend event in the month of Christmas that will present several of the best international groups of the genre, continuing with their legacy of excellence and their mission to move audiences. And as a highlight, this edition presents the show Amazing Grace. A Gospel Celebration To Aretha Franklin, a production of Gospel Greats starring The Black Heritage Choir, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the recording of the best-selling album in the history of gospel and the Queen of Soul.
The rhythm and joy will be provided by the Soweto Gospel Choir, the great South African choir, three-time winners of the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album, which returns to the stage of the Teatro Fernán Gómez. Centro Cultural de la Villa with their new show.
The line-up is completed by the New Orleans singer Bridget Bazile, one of the most eminent voices of her generation in the field of Negro Spiritual, the participation of Jerry Smith Gospel Singers in the family programme Gospel4Kids and an Oh Madrid Happy Day!!! by the Madrid Gospel Choir, directed by Nancy Roncesvalles with the special collaboration of Donnie Harper.
