La Emperatriz rebelde (Corsage), written and directed by Austrian director Marie Kreutzer and starring Vicky Krieps, Colin Morgan, Florian Teichtmeister and Finnegan Oldfield, among others, opens today in cinemas.

This co-production of Austria, Luxembourg, Germany and France is a biographical drama that tells the story of how at Christmas 1877, Sissi celebrates her 40th birthday and there is no sign of happiness around her. First Lady of Austria, wife of Emperor Franz Joseph, Elisabeth has no right to express herself and must remain beautiful and young, always in her corseted role. Stifled by the rules, and with a voracious appetite for knowledge and life, she rebels more and more against impositions, in search of the thrill of youth.
