Under the slogan ‘Let’s take care of the world and make dreams shine’, a fireworks, music and light display will illuminate Taipei 101 -Taiwan’s tallest skyscraper and until 2010 the world’s tallest building- during the traditional sound and light show with which the Republic of China (Taiwan) welcomes the new year and bids farewell to the old on the night of 31 December.
16,000 fireworks and a light show will welcome 2023 at the iconic skyscraper in an impressive five-minute display of colour, light and sound, with a variety of images including doves, smiling faces and the tree of life. The broadcast will take place on 31 December at 23:55 Taipei time (16:55 GMT).
