The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, held a meeting yesterday at the Moncloa Complex with some twenty CEOs and senior executives of the global pharmaceutical industry, who announced their intention to invest more than 8 billion euros in Spain over the next three years.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto; the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, and the Minister of Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, who at the end of the meeting met with the multinational executives and representatives of Farmaindustria and the international associations Efpia and Ifpma to analyze the prospects of the sector in our country.
During the meeting with the President of the Government, as reported by Moncloa, the executives informed that they plan to invest more than 8 billion euros in Spain over the next three years and will hire at least 4,500 young people a year in our country through their youth employment and gender equality plan.
For his part, Sanchez announced the creation of a Working Group with the industry to draw up the Strategic Plan for the Pharmaceutical Industry, and the commitment to move forward in the dialogue with the sector from the Alliance of the Strategic Project for the Recovery and Economic Transformation (PERTE) of Vanguard Health towards a permanent forum for dialogue.
