Tomorrow, the Teatro Tomás y Valiente in Fuenlabrada (Calle de Leganés, 51) will stage the premiere of Paseando a Buster, a proposal by the Goutas Teatro company that aims to recover the idea of bringing culture to rural areas that the poets of the Generation of ’27 had.
The Goutas Teatro company seeks to recover the audience’s sense of wonder through comedy without words, live music, projections and participatory moments for the whole family. Under the direction of Susana Alcantud (SpyMonkey, The Last Baguette), this play also pays homage to Buster Keaton’s silent films by focusing on the silence of the gesture, his comic gags and his relationship with Spain. The main character is Jaime Pastor, who plays a filmmaker who dreams of travelling to places far from the capital to show his films, as the Pedagogical Missions of the Second Republic did in Spain. On his journey, a series of accidents and bad ideas will make the film come to life in front of the eyes of all the spectators. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
