LesGaiCineMad at Instituto Francés with the screening of ‘Lucky’

As part of the 27th edition of LesGaiCineMad, the LGTBIQA+ film festival in Madrid, the Instituto Francés is screening the film Lucky, by Loren Denis and Anthony Vibert, this evening at 8pm. Screening in French with Spanish subtitles. Tickets can be booked at this link.

The film tells the story of how Luc Bruyère did not plan to die when he grew up. A matter of destiny and personal history, no doubt. From the moment he was born, he had to face the stares of others because he was missing an arm. Why not enjoy life, burn it as quickly as possible, even worry his family, especially his mother? Luc chose to accept himself: homosexual, transvestite, artist, singer… With his face, nothing can resist him. But the story would be too perfect. For him at least. Living these incandescent loves, he hurts himself more and more and now, at the age of 27, he looks back and opens up completely. Lucky is the portrait of an avant-gardist, a living witness that fate can be sublimated. Life gave Luc a role, but his strength and his dreams propelled him to another, more insolent place.
