The musical Los chicos del coro has opened at the Teatro La Latina (Plaza de la Cebada, 2), based on the French feature film, acclaimed by critics and international audiences alike.
Under the direction of Juan Luis Iborra and with a luxury cast headed by Jesús Castejón, Natalia Millán (one of the great interpreters of musicals on the Spanish stage) and Rafa Castejón, together with a choir of almost 70 children aged between 6 and 17 who make the audience shudder with their warm and tender voices.
The story of this musical, where sensitivity and tenderness converge, is set in France in 1949, after the Second World War. Poverty and social conflicts became the protagonists of a period in which many children were orphaned, and that is the setting for this story, in a correctional institution run by the strict Rachin.
