The British Embassy in Spain has raised over a thousand euros through a charity event launched by the Ukrainian Embassy for the purchase of an armored ambulance for Ukrainian.
The headquarters of the British Embassy in Torre Emperador in Madrid hosted last Thursday the charity fundraising event Ambulancia, launched by the Ukrainian Embassy with the aim of purchasing an armored ambulance that will be transferred to this country. The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic missions of Canada, Australia and the Netherlands.
“Yesterday at the Embassy we raised more than a thousand euros for the armored ambulance fund drive of the Ukrainian Embassy in Spain,” the Ukrainian representation reported via Twitter. “Thanks to the Embassies of Canada, the Netherlands and Australia for their assistance and collaboration,” added the Embassy, which has spread the hashtag #WeSupportUkraine and a link to collaborate in the campaign, open to “individuals and companies.”
During the event, the Ukrainian Minister Counselor, Dmytro Matiuschenko, thanked the organizers and the dozens of attendees at the event, where funds were raised in exchange for tasting different cakes and sweets baked by some embassy employees. He also informed about the priority areas of efforts to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Within the framework of the charity event, the attendees could get acquainted with works of the Ukrainian masters of Petrykivka painting, as well as anthology of classic works of Ukrainian literature A Handful of Earth, the presentation of which took place recently in Madrid. The funds raised during the event will be transferred to the humanitarian account of the Ukrainian Embassy.
